Winners announced at the Telekom Beethoven Competition 2025
Bärenreiter donates special prizes at this prestigious piano competition in Beethoven’s birthplace, Bonn

Seth Schultheis from the USA is the winner of this year’s Telekom Beethoven Competition. On 13 December, he was awarded first prize in the orchestra final, ahead of second-placed Amir Ron from Israel and third-placed Jonas Stark from Germany. Schultheis impressed with his interpretation of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2, accompanied by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the baton of Oksana Lyniv. Following the evening’s performances, the audience at the Telekom Forum in Bonn was invited to vote for its favourite finalist. Here Amir Ron emerged as the winner. At the matinee concert the following day, all three finalists received a Bärenreiter Urtext Prize consisting of a generous music voucher for Bärenreiter editions. (photos: Norbert Ittermann)
