Young international violin stars

The winners of the Mozart Competition have been announced. Bärenreiter donated special prizes.

Xunyue Zhang from China won first prize in the violin category at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. Second prize went to Yuki Serino from Italy and third prize to Maxim Tzekov from Austria/Bulgaria. Twenty violinists from seventeen countries had qualified for the prestigious competition in Mozart’s birthplace. A special “Bärenreiter Urtext Prize” was awarded to each of the three prize winners in the form of a generous voucher for sheet music.
