New Publications 1/2026

Dear Sir or Madam,
dear colleagues,

I am pleased to present the new titles to be published during the first half of 2026. This time we are placing a special focus on piano music: in addition to the second volume of Beethoven’s piano sonatas with fingering by Marc-André Hamelin, there are several new publications spanning the centuries. “Händel goes World” brings this Baroque master into an intercultural dialogue—have you ever seen or heard George Frideric Handel dance tango or sway to Balkan rhythms? Jean Kleeb makes it possible. In contrast, Franz Schubert’s “Six Grandes Marches” are pure Bärenreiter Urtext.

For choirs you will find well-known works in editions reflecting the latest musicological research, such as the second version of Franz Schubert’s Mass in G major. Handel is also prominently represented: performing editions of the “Anthem on the Peace” HWV 266 (267) and the “Foundling Hospital Anthem” HWV 268, based on the Halle Handel Edition, are included.

There are also new chamber music editions: whether Beethoven’s op. 16 in the versions for piano and four winds as well as for piano quartet, Leoš Janáček’s violin sonata arranged for violoncello, or the horn sonata by Czech composer Miloslav Kabeláč— there is something for many instrumentalists. Singers will discover new material as well, such as the first volume of the Urtext edition of Antonín Dvořák’s songs and arias from French operas by Christoph Willibald Gluck.

You will find the order form for review copies here.

With best wishes for the coming year,

Yours sincerely,

Johannes Mundry
